Episode 24: Stephen Gay – Building Bridges

Stephen Gay is a 30+ year educationlifer!He is a proud father of three and has been married to his wife for 28 years, who is also an educator. He grew up in Rocky Mount, NC where both grandparents were sharecroppers and his dad worked for thesame company for 35 years. He graduated from NC State with Math Ed Degree, taught in HickoryPublic Schools. He wasa NC PrincipalFellow Class 1, Masters from App State, EdS from ASU and doctoral work from ASU as well. He has taught, been an assistant principal, transportationcoordinator, middle school principal, school director, and Superintendent (Head of School). He is the sum total of his experiences. Currently, he is the Superintendentat East Wake Academy in Zebulon, NC. They are a K-12 charter school.
